As electric vehicles become commonplace, charging networks have to keep pace. Automakers understand this, and it's why many are uniting to help expand your charging options across not only the Houston, Austin, and San Antonio areas but nationwide.
GM brands like GMC, Chevrolet, and Buick are a big part of this effort along with five other major auto brands and automotive groups that produce multiple brands. It covers all the bases, and the goal is to install 30,000 high-powered charge points in urban locations and off highways to make sure that people driving EVs can charge wherever they need, and not have to worry about finding the right spot. These stations are set to be installed with quick charging times, and the hope is that they'll offer plenty of amenities while you charge, in addition to using renewable energy like solar power, for example.
The joint venture is set to have the first installation of stations by next summer, and the goal is to attract more people to drive zero-emission vehicles. Of course, we have attractive options here with the likes of the Silverado EV, the Blazer EV, and the Equinox EV. These are all names that drivers trust with their gas-powered counterparts, and you can expect the same when these are available at dealerships like ours serving Weimar, Corpus Christi, and Victoria, TX.
If you're ready to begin, get in touch with us here at Cavender Auto Country Chevrolet Buick GMC and we'd be happy to provide more details on EV options and the benefits to driving one while giving you a chance to explore our new Chevrolet, GMC and Buick vehicles at the dealership.
